About Keith McIsaac

I have lived and worked in Kamloops for over 35 years. I attended Norkam Senior Secondary and went on to become a licensed Automotive Technician. I returned to school in 1993 to attend the University College of the Cariboo's (UCC) Electronics Technician program with a specialty in Automation. Married for over 25 years, Karen and I have three children. I have been an active volunteer in different organizations, most recently with the RCMP Auxiliary program for the last 12 years.

In 1998, I began teaching in the electronics program at UCC. I earned the Provincial Instructor diploma from Vancouver Community College in 2001. I achieved full-time ongoing status in April 2000 and I was granted tenure in 2008. In 2011, Thompson Rivers University closed the electronics programs concluding my teaching career and opening new doors in the private sector.

I started Kamloops Automation in the summer of 2012 as a means to continue working on technology projects. I have learned that there are almost always new and better ways to accomplish things using technology that is getting less expensive as time goes by.
